About the Project

Prospective observational cohort study of people enrolled during documented acute or early HIV infection who are untreated.

Rationale

Recruit and follow up a cohort of people with documented acute and early HIV infection, not going on therapy.

Aims

Characterise the immunological responses/viral events that occur early in the course of HIV infection in untreated subjects with a focus on factors that determine natural viral control.
 

Design & Method

Recruit newly infected subjects who are not going on therapy obtain blood samples at specific timepoints.
