Benny Wirawan is a passionate medical researcher with a special interest in public health, epidemiology, and health policy. Graduating medical school in 2019, he has since worked as a public health researcher. he has been involved in various research projects in varying capacities, from research staff to project manager. His projects mostly involved infectious diseases (HIV and COVID-19) as well as general public health utilizing a variety of methodological approaches - both quantitative and qualitative - ranging from online surveys, large-scale community-based data collections, secondary data analyses, FGDs, and IDIs. He is currently working on a PhD project evaluating the Indonesian pilot PrEP program and developing an MSM-friendly PrEP implementation model for Indonesia. He is always looking for opportunities to collaborate on exciting new projects that advance the provision of equitable healthcare access and health outcomes for all.
