Mulualem Kelebie is a PhD candidate at the Kirby Institute, UNSW Sydney, Australia. His research focuses on neuropsychiatry (HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders (HAND), schizophrenia, HIV/AIDS, neuropsychopharmacology, and the neuropsychiatric complications of infectious diseases. He also specializes in the development, validation, and psychometric evaluation of neurocognitive screening and diagnostic instruments, as well as psychiatric epidemiology. His research employs clinical, cohort, and epidemiological study designs, alongside evidence synthesis methods, to improve the diagnosis, management, and long-term outcomes of neuropsychiatric disorders. His work aims to generate high-quality evidence that informs clinical practice, public health policy, and the delivery of mental health services, particularly in resource-limited settings.
