Phyo Pyae Nyein worked as a general physician in Myanmar with clinical experience in managing people with HIV. Her research interests include opportunistic infections such as tuberculosis, HIV care in resource-limited settings, and the metabolic and cardiovascular complications associated with antiretrovirals. Her PhD at the Kirby focuses on clinical trials involving antiretroviral treatments.
