Emeritus Professor Andrew Lloyd AM is a clinician and researcher whose work has had a significant impact in the policy and practice of infectious diseases. His research is remarkable for its breadth – ranging from public health to clinical trials and to immunovirology. He has had a focus on hepatitis C, particularly in the marginalised population of people in prison. He has been a pioneering force in focusing attention on this sector nationally and internationally. His work in the challenging and enigmatic clinical condition of post-infective fatigue has illuminated the complex intersection of infection, immunity, and stigmatised chronic illness. In over more than 40 years of clinical research, he has mentored many students and researchers, contributed to key research breakthroughs, and shaped health care practice. In this special lecture, Andrew will share some reflections and anecdotes from his colourful and impactful career.

This is an in-person event that will also be live-streamed.
For in-person attendees, a catered function will follow the lecture at 5:00pm.
