Dr Alexandra Carey Hoppe

Dr Alexandra Carey Hoppé
Postdoctoral Researcher, the Vaccines and Adjuvants Group, Westmead Institute for Medical Research

Dr Carey Hoppé is a human immunologist and early career researcher, having received her PhD from the Kirby Institute, UNSW in late 2025 for a study investigating how the site of mRNA COVID-19 vaccination influences the secondary immune response in human lymph nodes.

Dr Carey Hoppé is now a postdoctoral researcher in the Vaccines and Adjuvants Group at Westmead Institute for Medical Research, where she continues to explore human lymph node immunology using cutting edge spatial and single cell technologies. Her current work applies high parameter imaging (IMC and COMET) and Xenium spatial transcriptomics to human lymph node explant models to characterise innate immune responses to vaccine adjuvants.

Opinions expressed in the Kirby Institute Seminar Series are solely those of the speaker and do not necessarily represent the views or opinions of the Kirby Institute or UNSW.
