Associate Professor Lucette Cysique will deliver a talk titled: A review of the Long COVID Australian research: lessons learnt and recommendations for future research.

A/Prof Cysique has completed a comprehensive review of Australian research on Long COVID, conducted under the auspices of the APPRISE (Australian Partnership for Preparedness Research on Infectious Disease Emergencies) Long COVID Initiative. She will present the key findings of this review, share critical lessons learned, and offer forward-looking recommendations to guide future research with international relevance.

A/Prof Cysique is a cross-disciplinary neuropsychologist who leads a research program into the brain health of major infectious diseases across several institutions (Kirby Institute, UNSW School of Psychology, Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute at St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto, Canada, and St. Vincent's Hospital Sydney campus). She is also a co-investigator of the Doherty Institute-based APPRISE Long COVID Initiative, which aims to describe Long COVID disease burden in Australia using the well-recognised post-infective fatigue syndrome framework.
